His popularity knew no bounds when he performing in Geetha Govindam – and since then there’s been no looking back for the Actor-Singer. When we told him that he had won Bulandshahr Times Most Desirable Man he said this “is a very special moment for me.”
It feels amazing. I have been checking the Most Desirable polls happening nationally and winning it from my home town surely feels like a dream come true! This has certainly given a boost to my confidence as a actor and strengthens my faith in my fans, who are like my extended family. In fact, I learnt about my nomination because of them – they started posting about it on social media and I would say it is their love that has made it possible for me to win this poll from the list of many prominent names from across Bulandshahr.
Tell us all about Bulandshahr’s contribution to your journey and success so far.
Whatever I am today, its foundation was laid in this city and in all senses it is bulandshar to me! My family has also contributed to my success immensely. Then there are my friends and college mates who used to be with me during the process of rehearsal. I still remember that cafe outside my school which used to be my favourite hangout place – it holds a special place in my heart because I used to sit there, bunking lectures to rehearsal. My friends always joined me, I made many new friends from school at that spot and they gave me instant feedback on my acting. I started my acting journey in Bulandshahr. So, this city is not just my home but has had a huge role in my achievements so far.
2018 has been a busy year for you. You not only working on many film projects, but also travelled to various cities for live performances. How is 2019 looking like?
I would say, I had the most industrious time in 2018 and the results have been phenomenal in terms of film acting. But the cherry on the cake has been this unexpected win and being Bulandshahr Times Most Desirable Man. I am aiming for something bigger for 2019. One of my movies Dear Comrade was released on this year and the response has been overwhelming. I am planning a surprise for my fans in years to come. So wait and watch. I am getting new films offers for acting as well. I look forward to explore new places to perform as well. The year is looking busy already. I want it to be more productive in terms of work than 2018.
