You can make changes to your JetBlue flight before the scheduled departure time, with eligibility and changes varying depending on your ticket type. For JetBlue nonrefundable tickets, a per-person change fee applies, while JetBlue refundable tickets have no change fees. After deducting the change fee, you’ll receive JetBlue Travel Credit, which you can use for future travel with JetBlue Airlines. Special Condition – JetBlue Flight Change Fees Waiver for Non-Refundable Tickets:

You may qualify for a free change of your non-refundable JetBlue Airlines flight if you meet certain criteria, such as a family member’s death, government or military employment, or personal illness or injury. Contact a JetBlue customer representative to determine your eligibility. If approved, JetBlue will waive your change fees, and you’ll receive travel credit valid for one year from the original booking date.

Mosaic customers can switch flights for free at least 24 hours before the originally scheduled flight time. Customers with refundable fares can also change flights for free. The same-day switch option is available for TrueBlue redemption bookings.

JetBlue Same Day Standby Policy:

JetBlue’s standby policy allows customers to list for standby travel at the airport on the day of their originally scheduled flight, subject to availability.

Standby requires a confirmed seat reservation for a flight between the same city pairs on the same day as the standby flight you wish to take. A $75 charge applies to list standby for all fares except Blue Extra, refundable fares, and Mosaic customers. Standby can only be listed at the airport, not online or over the phone. Review the specific rules for Even More® Space and Mint® customers regarding standby travel. Only one person per reservation needs to be present at the airport to list for standby.

JetBlue Flight Change Fees [Updated for 2023]:

  • Blue Basic fare:
    • Routes in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean: $100 per person change fee.
    • All other routes: $200 per person change fee.
    • Same-day flight change fees: $75.
  • Blue, Blue Extra, Blue Plus, and Mint fares:
    • No fees for changes before departure.
    • No fees for same-day flight changes.
